Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me!

O LORD, be my helper!

You have turned my mourning into dancing!

You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy!

My soul praises you and will not be silent.

I will give thanks to you forever, O LORD my God!

* HYMN No. 250                                    Jesus Christ Is Risen Today

JUNIOR SERMON

(After the Junior Sermon, children ages 3-8 are dismissed to Children & Worship. Children & Worship meets in Room 2D. Children can be picked up there after the service.)

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Almighty and merciful God, we have erred

and strayed from your ways like lost sheep.

We have followed too much

the devices and desires of our own hearts.

We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done.

O Lord, have mercy upon us.

(Prayers of Silent Confession)

Kyrie (sung): Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON/WISDOM FOR LIFE

Hear the good news:

This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance,

that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

He himself bore our sins

in his body on the cross,

that we might be dead to sin,

and alive to all that is good!

ANTHEM                        Ave Maria                   Jacques Arcadelt

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,

and blessed, is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Pray for us sinners,
Now, and at the hour of our death,
Amen.

For the beauty of the earth
For the beauty of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies

(Refrain)
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our joyful hymn of praise

For the beauty of the hour
Of the day and of the night
Hill and vale and tree and flower
Sun and moon and stars of light

For the joy of human love
Brother, sister, parent, child
Friends on earth and friends above
For all gentle thoughts and mild

For each perfect gift of thine
To our race so freely given
Graces human and divine
Flow'rs of earth and buds of heav'n
