La Jornada is a Queens based nonprofit that serves the poor and immigrant population. Until the pandemic struck, La Jornada distributed groceries to about 1,000 families in Queens every week. Now during the Covid-19 crisis that has affected us all, the number tops 10,000. Volunteers are handing out 1,000 lunches daily, many of them children with growling stomachs.

Church on the Hill for the past several years has provided Christmas gifts to these needy children, that are distributed on Three Kings Day. The smiles and gratitude are amazing! Please help us to continue this great work.
